Wisdom, Revelation, God's Will

Day 9 in prayer room - October 26, 2010

Considering current events concerning the landlord and Onething's direction, today's prayer focus is for wisdom and revelation of God's will.

We are not peripheral to the world but the world is peripheral to us.

We declare that You, Lord are Lord of this (Onething) land. This house of prayer and all the assemblies in it are yours - you have ownership of us, God! We are your treasured possessions! Father, I praise You that You give righteous decrees and that we agree with you - let your will be done!! We are flexible and open to you, Lord! If you desire us as your tabernacle to be mobile in this season, we will go where you go! If you desire that we stand firm on this land you've given us for this time, we will be faithful!

Where are You dwelling, Oh God Most High? This is where we want to be!

If everything You say and do is to draw us closer to you, then we embrace whatever path you choose for us to take. But Lord we desire understanding and wisdom which you told us to ask for. Holy Spirit, I pray that you would reveal your direction to Ed and AnnMarie, that they may continue to serve you in excellence!

Psalm 42:10 - As with a sword crushing my bones, my enemies taunt and reproach me, while they say continually to me, 'Where is your God?'

Oh that the cry of this landlords heart is "Where is your God? Show me God!" Lord, reveal yourself through us to this man!

Psalm 43

Judge and vindicate me, O God; plead and defend my cause against an ungodly nation. O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!

For you are the God of my strength - my stronghold in whom I take refuge; why have you cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

O send out your light and your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling.

Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy; yes, with the lyre I will praise you, O God, my God!

...Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him for I shall yet praise Him who is the help of my countenance and my God.

Reminded of a song by Eddie James:

My praise is a weapon
It's a declaration
Our God is King
He can do anything
Our praise is a weapon
It's a declaration
That if God be for me
Tell me who can be against me

No weapon formed against you by the enemy shall prosper
Cuz you've got a weapon that will always have power
Your weapon is praise for the rest of your days
So stomp on the devil and lift Jesus' name

My song to the God of my life...

You can take everything away
But you can't take away my praise
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hope remains and joy sustains
This weary soul
Praise You from whom ALL blessings flow!

Emotions & Discipleship

Day 8 in prayer room - October 19, 2010

I thought today's focus was going to be Mercy - after all, I woke up declaring that His mercy was new this morning, there was a song about mercy that came to me on the car ride to Onething, when I got to Onething one of the pastors referenced a verse to me about mercy...but alas...the Holy Spirit had different plans.

Forewarning: This is a bit lengthy post.

Good morning, Holy Spirit! I quiet my soul before you for I need to hear your voice - I need to know the things on your heart. This month of prayer has been good and you have been so faithful with the little that I've given you. I open up my spirit to receive from you today - for the hope of Your glory, not just my satisfaction.

I worship You today - I desire to praise you from a pure and undefiled heart - because You are worthy of pure praise...a genuine, consecrated heart. I thank you for your mercy! We don't even have a glimpse of how deep this river runs...but I thank you that you don't change and your mercy and love never fail!

What's on Your heart, Love?

I don't want this time to be in vain. I don't want to jump ahead of where you aren't leading. I don't want to fall behind. I want to keep in step with you, Holy Spirit. I want to walk side by side with you so I can hear you clearly. I thank you for drawing me to you. I want to partner with your heart and I believe that as I draw near to you, You WILL draw near to me and you will reward me with your presence and your voice as I diligently seek you with all my heart. I thank you that as I wait on you I will NOT be put to shame, for you WILL come and reveal yourself to me and you DESIRE for us as a campus and your people to walk in your will and ways. You do not lie...so it's just a matter of time. So I wait expectantly for you to draw near and make yourself known. I thank you in advance for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you - I receive your spirit's leadership and presence today.

As I've sat waiting on You, Lord, I have felt you lead me back to John 17 and the depth of emotion of Your heart. It's no coincidence that as I sit in the prayer room, Corey Russel begins speaking about the emotions of Your heart. It's no coincidence that just 4 days ago, Bishop Lana shared a word with us that You are bringing our emotions into alignment with Your emotions in this season.

So the question is...What does it look like to gaze upon your beauty and stare at your face to the point where we can know what each minor movement and expression of your face means and reveals about your heart?

Because it sounds great...but what does that look like? Bishop Lana mentioned our will being conformed to God's will.

John 17:11 - "...Holy Father, keep in Your name (in the knowledge of Yourself) those whom You have given Me, that they may be One as We are One."

1st - "those whom You have given Me" implies that these are the disciples who are actively walking out Matthew 16:24-27 - denying themselves, taking up their cross and conforming wholly to the lifestyle of Jesus. This brings about the conformity of our will to God's will - submission and obedience.

Bishop Lana also mentioned that unity is at the forefront. Submission to the Father, submission to one another.

Here's how we begin the process of staring at His face...We become a disciple!!

Matthew 16:24 - Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself (disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests) and take up his cross and follow Me (cleave steadfastly to me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also).'

This is where we are!! You are stripping us of things in the natural - possessions, security in world systems; and in the spirit - removing all other loves so that we can ONLY cleave steadfastly to You. NOT COINCIDENCE that You are exposing to us the areas where we have been dependent on ourselves or others - not relying wholly on You!

Oh God, give us grace to deny ourselves and lose ourselves for as we gaze at you, as we learn of you, become acquainted with you...you become more and we become less! The more we stare at your face, the more we lose sight of our face, the more removed we are from other loves, the closer we are with you! As we lose sight of our own interests by becoming acquainted with Your interests (the knowledge of God), we are spurred on to conform our will to yours. As we do this (and the only place it can be accomplished is in Your presence), we begin to unlock the new language for the new dimension we are in. And in this is accomplished that steadfast calm in the midst of the storm because we are no longer moved by how things affect US, but we live by the decrees of the Lord!

WATCH!

Day 7 in prayer room - October 12, 2010

The hour is urgent. You are coming at a time none of us expect. This is why you told us to keep awake and WATCH.

Matthew 24:37-51

vs 42 - Watch therefore (give strict attention, be cautious and active), for you do not know in what kind of a day (whether a near or remote one) your Lord is coming.

vs 43 - But understand this: had the householder known in what (part of the night, whether in a night or morning) watch the thief was coming, he would've watched and would not have allowed his house to be undermined and broken into.

Matthew 26:38
- My soul is very sad and deeply grieved, so that I am almost dying of sorrow. Say here and keep awake and keep watch with me.

vs 40-41 - ...Are you so utterly unable to stay awake and keep watch with me for one hour? All of you must keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active) and watch and pray that you may not come into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

I believe we are in a season where our flesh is weighed down with the cares of this world. Not one person is unaffected. In these last days, "even youth shall faint and be weary and young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted" (Isa 40:30). Oh but the charge to keep awake and watch and pray stands firm and so the promise for those who adhere to it!!

Isaiah 40:28 - Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary, there is no searching of His understanding.

vs 29 - He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might he increases strength (causing it to multiply and making it to abound).

vs 31 - BUT those who wait for the Lord (who expect, look for and hope in Him) shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up (close to God) as eagles (mount up to the sun); they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

Hebrews 12:1-3

Our readiness is determined by the attention to and excellence we have with:
1) Waiting
2) Watching
3) Praying

God, if we're being honest...we've grown weary...weary of serving you and not seeing how we have received what you promised; weary of one another; weary of your discipline; weary of the entanglements of sin; weary of the fight against the flesh; weary of the trials and accusations of the enemy; weary of the gatherings where we quench your spirit; weary of our empty words and songs to you; weary of not walking by and keeping in step with the spirit; weary of leaning on our own understanding and taking up confidence in our own righteousness; weary of deception; weary of having a form of godliness but denying its power; weary of not being able to see, hear and discern what is on your heart; weary of the enemy's oppression...

We are tested so we may be strengthened. We are strengthened so we may strengthen. (Lk 22:31-32)

Amen.

Justice loves Mercy

Day 6 in prayer room - October 5, 2010

Today's prayer focus: Justice

Isaiah 30:18 (AMP) - "And therefore the Lord earnestly waits (expecting, looking and longing) to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who earnestly wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him (for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, his joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship)."

Why is God waiting to be gracious to us? Do we need to allow Him? But He's God?! Whether we like it or even believe it or not, He extends mercy to us every day. Thank you, God, that you have all power but you do not manipulate it. You allow patience to have its perfect way in you though you are already mature and complete, lacking nothing.

In waiting, you lift yourself up - you exercise excellence in patience, love and self-control and these things exalt you...SO THAT you can show mercy and loving-kindness to us. Mercy and loving-kindness is demonstrated in LOVE which is demonstrated through PATIENCE which comes from WAITING.

Thoughts:

God is a God of judgment which is why He exercises patience in waiting because it shows mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

God is a God of justice - justice is waiting patiently and showing mercy.

Isaiah 30:15-16 - We returned to the Lord and rest, we dwelt in quietness and trust but we were not willing and instead went our own way.

God waits patiently for us to stop going our own way, leaning on our own understanding and trusting in our own strength and abilities.

Repent & Reunite

Day 5 in the prayer room - September 30, 2010

Prayer focus: Campus meeting tonight

Father, you know where there has been injustice...have mercy on us! You know where we have leaned on our own understanding and where we have moved in haste - where we haven't waited patiently for your leadership. You know when we as a campus have stopped you mid-sentence and haven't walked out the fullness of your call. Have mercy on us, O God, according to your lovingkindness and for your hope of glory!

Father, forgive me and forgive us for viewing each other as separate. Yes, we each have our own decision to make, but they affect everyone. Forgive us for falling prey to an "us against them" mentality. Forgive us, all of us, for keeping records of wrongs - for counting the injustices against us instead of praising you that the testing of our faith is producing perseverance in us! Forgive us for judging and condemning and not considering our own "planks."

Forgive us for not being patient, slow to anger and rich in love with one another as your are with us. Forgive us for not giving out of the abundance you've given us. Forgive us for speaking with our mouths but not honoring you with our hearts...for saying that we are a community of people who love one another but falling short in demonstrating it. For your kingdom does not exist in words but in power. Forgive us for saying to one another that we will pray for each other but not doing it. Forgive us for losing vision, getting distracted, falling away, and growing weary in well doing.

Thank you for this opportunity for us to throw our hands up without giving up. Oh God, help us to strengthen what remains and is at the point of dying for our works are not complete in your sight! Do not abandon the work of your hands, God! We repent and we return to you with fasting and prayer and hearts longing to be with our Beloved again in FULLNESS!

Every person is connected to another. If one person suffers, if one part of the Body suffers, the WHOLE BODY suffers. If one part of the Body chooses to disassociate itself with its responsibility of working with the rest of the Body, our position and attitude towards them and the situation cannot be "good riddance...go and do as you will," but rather we should be wounded that unity has not yet been attained and so continue to pray and bear their burdens with them. (UPSIDE DOWN KINGDOM!)

I pray that you would prepare the hearts and minds of every person coming to the meeting tonight, that we would have eyes to see and ears to hear what you're saying and doing in this hour. I speak against confusion or a spirit of offense that seeks to bring division where you are bringing unity. I thank you for the spirit of unity in the bond of peace tonight. Let your kingdom be advanced in this meeting tonight as we seek to come together to pursue brotherly love.

Onething's position toward campus: Galatians 6:10
Onething campus' current position: 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
Where Onething is going: Ephesians 4:15-16
How Onething "gets there": Hebrews 10:35-36
In the meantime: Ephesians 6:18

A Time to Pray

Day 4 in prayer room - September 28, 2010

Matt 6:5 - When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites and do it for show.

Matt 6:6 - Pray in privacy, seclusion, isolation of secret place

Matt 6:7 - Keep prayer simple - no need to repeat

Matt 6:8 - Don't pray as if the Father doesn't already know your needs

Matt 6:9-13 PRAY LIKE THIS:

Our Father...
high; lifted up; good Dad; we belong to You - we are Your people and You are our God

Who is in heaven...
You dwell in perfection; You possess a kingdom founded on righteousness and justice and love that you have placed in the hearts of us, Your people, through the obedience of Your son, Jesus Christ

Hallowed (kept Holy) be Your name...
You are the only one worthy of praise; there is none like You; none can compare to You, the name that is above every other name; You are exalted high above every authority and principality

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done...
Now that we have become one with your Son, now that we abide in the vine and the vine in us, the cry of our heart is that You would take dominion and take Your rightful place as the Righteous Judge, King of Kings and Lord of Lords in this realm...that the righteousness and justice that form the foundations of your throne would become the standard and foundation of our hearts, society and culture. Let the desire for Your pure and perfect love consume our thoughts, words, actions and interactions. Place in us the zeal You have for Your own name...that Your ways would become our ways and Your thoughts, our thoughts. That once again what exists in the spirit and supernatural would exist in the flesh and natural. That we would take every thought captive and take up our cross daily and die to our carnal desires...that the word of God would dwell in us richly and that we would desire Your will above all others and that through our obedience to Your commands would demonstrate Love.

On earth as it is in heaven...
Your throne is already established in heaven...let the paradigm of your kingdom of heaven invade this realm! That there would no longer be division, separation and divorce but that You would honor Your son by answering his prayer that we would be One just as he and You are One.

Give us this day our daily bread...
Jesus, You are the Bread of Life that satisfies every living thing. Those who eat of You will never hunger but will be filled and completely satisfied. Thank you for giving us everything we could ever need! You give us yourself daily...for man doesn't live on bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. We feast on Your words for Your words are truly life to the Body and light to the soul - a lamp for our path.

And forgive us our debts...
Thank You, Jesus, that for as many as who would believe in your testimony, You have removed our sin as far as the east from the west and have released us from the entanglements of sin and have provided us a way through your blood to overcome the weakness of the flesh and evil of this age to become Holy as You are Holy. According to Your great lovingkindness, mercy and compassion, You have not dealt with us according to what we deserve for the price of sin is death. Thank You for demonstrating the greatest Love - forgiveness, laying down your life to call us no longer servants but friends.

As we also have forgiven (left, remitted and let go of debts and have given up resentment against) our debtors...
Thank you that because you have forgiven us and keep no record of wrongs, we can forgive another and keep no record of their wrongs. Let love reign supreme in our hearts for this is the most excellent way! Thank you for delivering us from a spirit of offense, judgment, bitterness, and anger. As we have freely received, teach us to freely give of your mercy and lovingkindness.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one...
Thank You, Jesus, that You do not lead us into temptation and that You will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. Thank you that You have been tempted in every way being fully man and have already overcome the world. I thank You that no temptation has seized us except what is common to man. Thank You that You promise that as we resist the devil, he will flee from us. Thank you that through You, Jesus, we are delivered from every wicked vice. Thank you for Your peace that guards our hearts and minds against the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen!
Thank you, God, that all things come from You, are held together by the Word of your power, and end in You. Thank you for being the ONLY one worthy to open the scroll and release its seals. You are worthy to receive praise and honor and glory for yours is an eternal kingdom that has no end! Praise be to You - You who has always been, is, and will always be - to the One who has all authority and power! We, as Your Bride, agree with you that Your kingdom WILL come and Your will WILL be done on earth as it is in heaven for You who promised are Faithful and True!!

Hosea 2:14 Allure us into the wilderness and speak tenderly to us that we would repent and return to you. That we would not shrink back in fear when we see the dry and barren place you are leading us to, but we would be strengthened in our hearts by the power of your Holy Spirit.

One

Day 3 in prayer room - September 23, 2010

Praise you, Lord - in your heaven and your earth! Worthy are you to be praised! For only you can give perfect peace in every storm, only in you can a tree bring forth fruit in its season, only you can make beauty from brokenness, and only you can sustain the weary with just a word!

*Time in prayer room dedicated to praying specifically for intimate team.

John 17

John 17:11 - "...Holy Father, keep in Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are one."

Father, I am praying for the Onething campus and community out of John 17. Jesus, these are YOUR words - this is the cry of YOUR heart - you desire that we would be One within ourselves, One with you, and One with each other. You said that when we are One, operating in a spirit of unity in the bond of peace, that it radiates to the world the truth of who you are and releases grace and faith to believe in you!

God, I am asking that you would pour out your spirit and grace without measure to Onething campus and community...that you would awaken our hearts to pray and genuinely consider one another; that the selflessness and love that comes through prayer would fan the flame of your love inside of us. In the name of Jesus, I tear down every stronghold of fear of relationship and any fear of rejection or exposure or vulnerability. I declare perfect love casts out ALL fear and I come into agreement with you Holy Spirit and invite your perfect love into the intimate team and campus.

I thank you that when you invade us with your love, it is easier to keep peace and thereby keep unity. Unite us in love! Father, give us eyes to see the beauty in diversity and how our differences balance each other. I pray against a spirit of offense. I pray that in humility we would consider one another higher than ourselves. That it would be our joy to yield to one another in love.

I pray that the corporate cry that comes from Onething would be, "God, we long to be with you!"

We just want to love you more today
Than we did yesterday
So come and love us like you do...

Beloved, Bridegroom, Lover

Day 2 in prayer room - September 21, 2010

Praise the Lord your God for He is God and He is high and lifted up above every principality and every ideology!

He is WORTHY! Declare My worthiness to the nations!

Your eyes flicker with flames of fire
Burning right through every other lover!

This morning and upon entering into the prayer room, I sense the theme for today to be seeking God as "the Beloved."

Father, I pray that we would establish Jesus as our Beloved at Onething. That in each heart we would regard you not just as Master or Lord or King, but as Friend and Lover of our souls! Just like the lovesick shulamite who searched all throughout the night for the One that her heart loved, I pray that we would fall more in love with You and that would keep our fires burning to keep seeking after You in prayer.

End the separation, God...All we want is to be near You, with You where You are!

SOS 3:1-4; 5:2-16

For those whose hearts have fallen asleep...I say, "Wake up, O Sleepers! It is time to awaken Love!!" (SOS 5:2)

For those who have lost their hearing...I declare that you have ears to hear what your Beloved says. (SOS 5:2)

For those who have grown weary...I say, "Strengthen what remains for there is no cost counted in Love." (SOS 5:3, Rev 3:2)

For those who have lost heart in seeking...Love will lead you on. "Do not lose heart! I will withdraw to test your hunger and desire for Me." (SOS 5:6)

For those watchmen who have grown weary in watching and have let doubt and bitterness overcome the call & for those who have lost sight of the LOVE and have become legalistic...Grace and mercy to you! May you be given eyes to see and ears to hear once again, that you may declare to God's people the signs! (SOS 5:7,9)

SOS 5:9 - The watchmen ask the lovesick woman, "What is your Beloved more than another beloved?"

I believe this is the question of the hour. The world is looking at the Church, not seeing any difference except legalistic traditions and is asking, "Why is your God better than these other gods of other religions, better than my understanding of other gods, better than my self sufficiency?" And the Church, because she has not had the personal revelation and encounter of the intimate communion (bedchamber experience) with God, cannot answer how the Lovesick woman in the passage answered...

SOS 5:10 - "...He is the chief among 10,000."

Oh God, I'm asking that you would give us the revelation of Jesus as Lover, as our Beloved today! I pray that you would encounter us today with that ravishing, jealous, fiery gaze of your eyes!

God, you are raising up an army of laid-down, lovesick who contend for justice and righteousness - not out of obligation, but out of pure love. We need a love revelation that will lead to a love revolution so we may declare to your people who you really are so that when we do, the chains of bondage break free!

Holy Spirit, I thank you that you know all things. You know the end from the beginning. You know every corner of our hearts. I praise you that for each person on this campus and for the campus in general that you know the plans you have for us and they are good plans to prosper us and not to harm us, but to give us hope and a future! I thank you that you have chosen us for such a time as this to declare your praises and sing of your goodness and manifest your kingdom in the earth.

Father, I thank you that Love (Jesus) is the foundation of the Kingdom. I thank you that prayer is one of the greatest demonstrations of Love. And so you have chosen us that we would be a house of prayer for all peoples - that you would set us up to be a house of Love...a dwelling place for Love to manifest himself.

It is an honor. Father, would you send your Holy Spirit to stir us up to pray for one another and so demonstrate Love. Teach us to sit and wait and hear from you and to declare in the open what you tell us in the secret. Holy Spirit, we as a campus desire to do the will of the Father, so I ask that you would give us ears to hear and willing hearts to say yes to you no matter what the charge. I pray that you would strengthen what little faith we have - increase it, God, and let your peace guard our hearts and minds so that we would give the enemy no authority by our doubt.

*Prayer for Intimate Team

Abide in Vine

Day 1 in prayer room - September 16, 2010

God is Love.

1 John 4:8 - "He who does not love has not become acquainted with God, for God is love."

The words "God" and "Love" are interchangeable.

Colossians 1:17 - "He (Love) is before all things, and in Him (Love) all things hold together."

Colossians 1:16-23
I thank you, God, that by You all things have been created, have their being - all things seen and unseen by us - all dominions, rulers and authorities have been created by You, exist through You and for You. I thank you for every individual and ministry on this campus - that we all have our being in You - that we came from You and we are returning to You, and that for such a time is this, You have called us to do Your will according to Your good pleasure. I praise You that we are Yours!

I praise You that You are before us - You go before us and prepare us. You see what we need before we see it and You have equipped us - given us everything pertaining to life and godliness. I thank you that in You we hold together.

I thank You that You are the head of us and we are Your church, Your bride. I thank You that You are preeminent. Thank you for reconciling us to You by the blood of Jesus.

Father, I pray that if there is anyone on campus that has forgotten the sweetness and goodness of Your redemption, I pray that you would send out Your Holy Spirit right now to them to remind them. Release the testimony of Jesus! Remember the first time you felt Him...the first time you heard His voice...the first time you yearned. I pray that EVERYTHING in the spirit would flow from this one river of overflowing love and gratefulness of the cross! I pray that You would awaken the dead, sleeping and weary hearts that have forgotten about Your love, Jesus.

I encourage you, Bride, Beloved of Christ, to continue in the faith, being stable and steadfast, not shifting from hope in Christ.

Father, I thank you for stability returning to our lives and ministries today...stability that comes from the intimate knowledge and experience of the testimony of Jesus - the man, Jesus. I pray that we would experience you as the man, Jesus, today...the man who IS Love. Let us love one another for love comes from God. Give us a revelation of You, of Love, today. Father, remind us of your sacrifice, how you didn't count the cost.

Love doesn't count the cost
It counts all as loss
Compared to Your surpassing beauty!

I pray that you would give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you today!! Eph 1:17-23 That this love would cover over a multitude of sins and that it would restore hope to those who are dry, weary, and at the end of their rope.

John 15:1-17
vs. 1-2 - (AMP) "I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit."

Thank you, God, that you are the vine (Jesus) and we are the branches...you are the one holding onto us and we must abide in you as you abide in us for apart from you we have no good thing and can do nothing - and by and in you we all hold together!

I thank you for shifting and sifting us (individually and as a campus) so that all branches not bearing fruit and hindering growth will be removed. Thank you for pruning those of us who remain. Thank you that you're not held together by us, but we're held together by you.

I feel like you are pruning us and calling us to new, deeper levels of holiness - that we as the Bride of Brandon would begin to clothe ourselves with the righteousness of Jesus - establish his works of justice as these are the foundations of your throne.

Thank you for Norma from Garden of Grace doing missions work coming up in Haiti and Africa, and for Bishop Lonnie also ministering in those places. Father, thank you that they are your hands and feet to these people and these nations. I ask that as they carry out your justice of bringing good news to the poor and helping the oppressed and weak, I pray you would abundantly provide for them financially and equip them spiritually - that you would go before them and prepare the hearts of the people to receive from you. Thank you for Patricia and Thy Will Be Done working justice in the homeless/poor community. Thank you for High Places who works justice in the governmental realms. Thank you for Pastor Rolando and his servant leadership.

John 15:2 Fruit is for the nourishment and sustaining of others. Literally translates as "fruits of righteousness."

Jesus is the very Righteousness of God.
Jesus is the Vine, We are the Branches.
Branches that produce Fruits of Righteousness.
Fruits of Righteousness that people taste of and see that the Lord is good.
A taste that causes them to hunger and thirst after Righteousness.
A hunger that enables them to seek first God's Kingdom and Righteousness.
The end times draws near God's kingdom.
It draws near as the Bride clothes herself with works of Righteousness.
To bring God's kingdom to earth - to establish his throne of which the foundations are justice and Righteousness.
We are sustained by God who will not rest until our Righteousness shines like the Son! A God who leads us in paths of Righteousness for His name's sake!

But we MUST abide in the Vine!

Father, I pray for each person on this campus that you would teach us to abide in the Vine and so produce fruits of righteousness that would give our congregations and community a taste that they may see that you are good and so would cause them to hunger and thirst after righteousness themselves thereby becoming their own branches that produce fruit. I pray you would give us a revelation of what it means to ABIDE.

Some characteristics of what it looks like to ABIDE:

1. no time limit - can come and go as please; no stopping or starting, just continuous
2. dwelling place
3.place of communion
4. place of praise
5. "continue, bear"
6. related to "tarrying" Lk 24:29

Lord, I believe and declare that you are Lord of this campus! You are Lord of Onething! I agree with your purposes for this place and each person and ministry here. Lord you said that without vision the people perish. As far as I know, we are envisioning to be a dwelling place - a house of prayer for you to dwell in. We are a people who want to dwell in you and gaze on your beauty. Give us a personal and corporate revelation of how to abide in you and how to live in unity with one another and you, Jesus, are the vine that holds us ALL together.

You told us in the beginning that we were to contend for and demonstrate unity in the Body. Oh God, Jesus, the Vine is the one thing that holds us all together which is why you had me praying for the remembrance and revelation of Jesus and our reconciliation by the blood of Jesus. Your blood, Jesus, unites Jew and Gentile, slave and free.

Praise God for the blood of Jesus!

*Other nugget that came this day:

Gazing is not glancing. If we want to "gaze" on God's beauty (Ps 27:4), we have to be willing to wait and ABIDE in Him.

New Season

(I find it ironic that I'm picking this blog back up a year to date from when I stopped writing.)

I am not a "blogger," I am a writer - good, old fashioned paper and pen work wonders for me. My journals are my outlets - like portals to places I cannot go in the natural realm. When I write, I feel like I'm exploring the caverns of my mind, finding all kinds of mysteries. When I write, I feel like I am searching after God as for treasure and my journals transform into a dialogue between God and me...letters between us, almost. I write my thoughts, my prayers, my experiences, and then he speaks to me and I write his thoughts and prayers.

I was going to make this blog strictly informational about the Onething Campus/Community and prayer, but I realize that prayer is becoming a lifestyle for me and my involvement with Onething is inseparable from the other social activities that make up my life (for the most part). So you're gonna get a little bit of "me" in here...grace and peace to you as you read!

This season has, for me, seemed to be infused with "suddenlies." It seems as though God's words have come to me "suddenly" (often when I'm not expecting them), and he has been moving "suddenly." The lingo around the prayer center of "shifting and sifting and shaking" has become commonly accepted and experienced. All I can say to that is, "Yes!" I am reminded of the word we (at Onething) were given a while ago from Amos 9 that there would be a great shifting and shaking. Praise the Lord for true prophetic words that come to pass! I believe we are beginning to live that word out now.

A little background on why this blog is starting up again:

Back in July, I had the privilege of visiting a friend in Indiana for nearly a week. Now, there's something about traveling (particularly by airplane - maybe it's the perspective thing) that seems to shake the dust off of the mind as the familiar and mundane fades into the background. This trip was a lot of "firsts" for me and a lot of "suddenlies." Though my intention was to bless my friend, God ended up blessing me with new vision, purpose and direction for this next season. I didn't have specifics, just felt a lot of clarity and peace about God being in control of the future.

When I came home, I was tested heavily within the first week - victorious in some, not so much in others. I felt very oppressed and discouraged that I wasn't experiencing what I thought God had been showing me. I felt like I came home as a new person and yet everything and everyone at home "appeared" the same. I wasn't exactly sure how to bring about the words God had spoken to me so I just resorted to prayer. (Always a win!)

I went to an all day solemn assembly not long after this trip. I knew going into it that I was not going to pray for or focus on any personal spiritual/relationship issues I had going on in my life (which were many), but rather this day was focusing on building/advancing God's Kingdom. Once again, God blessed me with a prophetic word from a pastor at the assembly that I never met before. What was different about this prophetic word was that there was a specific time frame attached to it. (Now, I was hesitant about this because the one and only and last time anyone had ever given me a "prophetic word" with a time on it, the person was a false prophet and nothing came to pass. But, I told God my spirit was open to receive from Him.) This pastor told me that in 2 weeks, God was going to launch me into my destiny. Hm. I had been asking God that prior week for direction and clarity about my "purpose." I thanked the man, thanked God and focused on prayer for the Body the rest of the day.

I was house sitting for Ed and AnnMarie for about a week near the end of August (their house is one of the best places I've ever found for good quiet time) and I didn't realize it at the time, but the day after that 2 week time frame the pastor spoke of, I was sitting in a chair in their house and just listening/waiting on God to speak and I felt compelled to read the book of Romans again because I felt I was needing a reminder of my foundation. (I've studied Romans many times before and knew this was a good plan.) I wasn't prepared for God to so gracefully and pointedly target me with his love and direction.

*Mini-rewind: During that solemn assembly, I felt my heart begin to burn stronger for prayer and God gave me an awareness of the urgency of the hour and the importance of prayer. From that, I found myself praying that God would raise up more communities of prayer across the land and that I wanted to be involved in planting prayer furnaces and raising up these prayer communities. Felt compelled to start 2 prayer gatherings - one in South Tampa where I live and the other at Onething in Brandon. At the time, I had no idea what this was supposed to look like, but I felt it was confirmation of what I had been feeling for over a year concerning my "purpose" - felt that God wanted to use me to minister to churches and ministries through prayer support, service, refreshing, and reinforcement. (What kind of title do you put on that??)

So here I sit with all of this in the back of my mind and I read Romans 1:5 - "...through whom [Jesus Christ] we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His name among all the nations." Yes! I am being tested so heavily in my faith and have received grace SO THAT Christ THROUGH ME would bring about obedience of faith in the nations! (You can only reproduce what you are - you can only give what you have.)

Then I read Romans 1:11-12 and my jaw dropped - "For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you - that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each others faith, both yours and mine." That is EXACTLY what my heart has been crying out for and feeling deep in my bones for over a year and I thought I was thinking crazy and didn't even know it was in the Bible!!

After this, I can't even explain how much more my life has been characterized by a spirit of prayer, fasting and thanksgiving. There are no words...there is only the AMAZING, MERCIFUL grace of God that has brought me to this place.

Two days after I receive this word in my quiet time, I'm covering for someone else's shift on campus (nothing is coincidence) and I end up talking/praying/rejoicing for 2 hours with a woman who had to cancel her class on campus that night. Complete confirmation of the things that God has been speaking to me and specific direction for what the next step in God's calling looks like. Thank you, God!!

A week later, I visited a ministry I used to serve and a "random" young man prophesied over me that in 28 days I would be receiving clarity about some things (among others). Ironically enough, that time frame ended around the last week of September/1st week of October. Here's what else was going on around that time...Sept 22 is the first official day of the Fall Season, Sept 24 is Onething's 4 year anniversary of being open, Sept 25 is the beginning of the feast of Tabernacles (Jewish New Year of 5771) and is when we start to gain and lose some churches on campus, and Oct 2 is my one year anniversary of being in relationship.

With all that was coming and confirmation from others that they felt a lot of change coming with this new season, I felt led to pray and fast for the Onething campus, community and region for 30 days. September 16 was my first day and as God has been downloading things to me, I feel that the information needs to be available for those that would have ears to hear.

This blog will be a summary of the prayers I've prayed and words and vision that He has been speaking during this time. I pray that you would have eyes to see, ears to hear, open hearts, renewed minds, and prayerful spirits for the hour is urgent.
